The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Meridius pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Machida throws a head kick that misses.
Meridius avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Machida moves out of range of the body kick.
Good leg kick by Meridius there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Meridius looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Maximus Meridius seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Meridius rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Machida moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Meridius throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.

A decent looking body kick lands there for Meridius.

Meridius throws a push kick but Machida slaps the foot to one side.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Meridius.

Meridius fakes the leg kick and cracks Machida in the body.
Meridius cracks Machida with a right hand to the side of the head.
Meridius slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
