Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between BJ Aoki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andy Wang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Andy Wang enters the ring!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Shigeki Sano and Kenichi Hosakawa.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Aoki feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Wang sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

and Aoki counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Wang's guard now.
Aoki wants to pass the guard but Wang is keeping the position.
Aoki sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Wang's guard.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Wang escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Aoki gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Aoki throws a nice looking combination but Wang bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Wang shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Aoki but Aoki pushes him off and we're back to square one.

and Wang counters with a nice double leg into side control. Aoki won't be happy with that.

Wang throws a combination. Aoki tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Aoki drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Wang dives on top into guard.

Aoki had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Wang is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Aoki Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Wang's back instead.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Wang rolls with it to try and escape but Aoki cranks on the arm and Wang is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
