The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Kozin.
Nunes lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Kozin throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Nunes counters with a body kick that stops Kozin in his tracks momentarily.
Nunes scores with a spinning back kick!
Nunes throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Nunes moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
A head kick from Nunes lands but Kozin takes it in his stride.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Kozin seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Nunes for as long as he can get away with.

Kozin throws a series of punches but Nunes avoids them all with ease.
Kozin takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Evangelista Nunes is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Kozin takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Nunes is trying to control but Kozin manages to pass to mount!

Nunes looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Kozin is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Nunes has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Kozin has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Nunes taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Kozin doesn't care though - he's delighted!
