Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy McDermot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Sweet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think McDermot might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to HL. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Matt Sweet!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Robert Douchet and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McDermot closes the distance and clinches.
McDermot tightens his grip and picks Sweet up, before dumping him to the ground. Sweet manages to land in guard.
Sweet is trying to control the position from the bottom.
McDermot trying to control the position from guard on top but Sweet is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
McDermot is really struggling to control Sweet but he's trying to hold on to the position.
We're going to have a standup here because Jimmy McDermot wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Sweet closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming McDermot to the mat! McDermot manages to get full guard.
McDermot working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Sweet.
McDermot wants to stand up but Sweet is controlling him.
McDermot tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Sweet's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
McDermot looking to hit a scissor sweep but Sweet is one step ahead there.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Sweet has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing McDermot to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Sweet is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - McDermot pulls down on the head and he's put Sweet to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Jimmy McDermot!
