Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lauri Puukko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maurice McDonald (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Arvi Lind and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McDonald throws a lazy head kick
and Puukko counters with a flying knee. Nice.
McDonald throws a leg kick but Puukko sees it coming and checks it nicely.
McDonald moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Puukko throws a head kick that misses.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from McDonald lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Puukko has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Puukko and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
McDonald shoots in for a takedown but Puukko shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

and McDonald counters with a thumping low kick.
McDonald tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Puukko was well out of range. Poor timing from McDonald.
A low kick from McDonald is predictable there
and Puukko counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

McDonald connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Puukko tries to clinch up
and McDonald counters with a body kick that stops Puukko in his tracks momentarily.
McDonald comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Puukko is breathing heavily.
McDonald throws a low kick, looking for Puukko's leg but Puukko calmly moves out of range.
McDonald feints and then cracks Puukko's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Puukko down.

McDonald throws a leg kick but Puukko sees it coming and moves out of range.
Puukko moves in looking to clinch but McDonald pushes him off.
McDonald throws a solid leg kick but Puukko takes the impact on his shin and smiles at McDonald.

Puukko scores with a one two! McDonald had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Puukko tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but McDonald paws at him with a jab and circles away.

McDonald will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Puukko uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by McDonald.
