Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dave Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lennox Peterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Dave Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Lennox Peterson !
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Andrew Berry and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peterson shoots for a double leg takedown but Jones sprawls well. He's pushed Peterson 's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Jones misses with a left hand

and Peterson holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Jones tries to break free but Peterson pushes him back against the cage.
Jones wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Peterson prevents Jones from breaking the clinch.
Jones tries to break the clinch but Peterson is controlling the position.
Jones tries to circle away but Peterson has him pinned against the cage.
Peterson stalls.
Peterson goes for a takedown attempt but Jones pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Peterson shoots in for a double leg but Jones sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Dave Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lennox Peterson .

Jones tries to keep at a distance but Peterson has taken the fight into the clinch.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Jones wants to stand but Peterson is controlling his posture from full guard.

Jones tries to keep at a distance but Peterson has taken the fight into the clinch.
Peterson 's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Jones is pressed up against the cage. Peterson has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Jones down to the mat. Jones avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Peterson shoots in for a double leg but Jones sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Peterson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Peterson shoots in for a takedown but Jones shows good takedown defense.
Peterson looks for a takedown but Jones sprawls well.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Peterson jumps into guard, dragging Jones to the mat.

Jones would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Peterson has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Peterson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Peterson perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Jones is trying to stand up here but Peterson is controlling him well.

Peterson is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Jones to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Jones shrugs it off.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
The referee warns Jones that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Peterson has hold of Jones's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Jones manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Jones is trying to stand.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Peterson shoots in looking for a takedown but Jones manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Peterson 's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Peterson forces Jones back against the cage and clinches.
Jones is trying to break free.
Peterson has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Jones is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Peterson .
Jones wants to break free but Peterson has control.

Peterson gets control of Jones's arms and successfully pulls guard. Peterson will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Well Peterson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
