The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Szymanski drops his hands momentarily and Belisle takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Szymanski scoring well with a low kick there.
Szymanski's jab looks to have found its range, popping Belisle under the eye.
Belisle takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Belisle doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Belisle fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Szymanski manages to avoid it.
Szymanski moves out of range of the strikes.
Szymanski scores with a jab to the jaw.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Lukasz Szymanski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Belisle takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Belisle takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Szymanski fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Belisle.

Szymanski throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Belisle stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Belisle throws a lazy uppercut
and Szymanski counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Szymanski lands a lovely overhand right.
Belisle shoots in for a takedown but Szymanski shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Szymanski is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Belisle had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Belisle is rocked!
Szymanski connects with a good right hand that stumbles Belisle. Belisle circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Oh Belisle is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
BOOM! Szymanski lands a beautiful left hook that drops Belisle. Belisle tries to recover but Szymanski is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Belisle lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
