Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Drederick Tatum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Manu Okoro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Okoro's choice of entrance music: Jungle Ugly. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Drederick Tatum!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Manu Okoro!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, William Peck and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tatum takes one to the chin there.
Okoro throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Okoro throws a nice inside leg kick.
Tatum connects with the punch.
Tatum stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Okoro.
Okoro throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Okoro lands a head kick. Tatum smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Okoro scores with a three punch combo!


It looks like Drederick Tatum has been cut.
Okoro throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Okoro throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Tatum chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Okoro can pounce on him.

A decent looking cross lands there for Okoro.
Okoro scores with a leg kick.
Okoro tests Tatum's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Okoro lands with a shot to the body.
Okoro connects with an inside leg kick.
Okoro throws a body punch but Tatum moves out of range.

Tatum slips a jab and a cross from Okoro.

Okoro throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Okoro throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Tatum scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Okoro thows a body shot but no joy.

Tatum takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Okoro misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Tatum.

Okoro thows a body shot but no joy.
Okoro misses with a hook. Tatum ducked under it nicely.
Tatum takes one to the chin there.
Tatum on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Okoro. Okoro obviously looking to wear him down.
Okoro lands with a hook. Tatum tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Okoro just misses with a punch to the body.
Okoro misses with a low kick.
Tatum shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Okoro uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Tatum.
Okoro is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Tatum rather than just go for the knockout.
Tatum on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Okoro. Okoro obviously looking to wear him down.
A punch lands to the side of Tatum 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Okoro moves away from the strike by Tatum.
Okoro looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Drederick Tatum is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Tatum throws a poor cross that misses
and Okoro connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Okoro takes a swing at Tatum's ribcage but misses.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Okoro misses with a takedown attempt
and Tatum makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Tatum tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Okoro was well out of range. Poor timing from Tatum.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Manu Okoro dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Drederick Tatum's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Okoro misses with a body shot.
Tatum on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Tatum is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Okoro lands with a slapping head kick.
Tatum fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Okoro manages to avoid it.
Tatum lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Manu Okoro seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Tatum is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Okoro throws a wild body kick that Tatum sees coming a mile off.
Tatum moves out of range of the strikes.

Okoro throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Tatum staying out of range there.
Okoro thows a leg kick but Tatum checks it
and Tatum counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Okoro thows a left - swing and a miss!
Sloppy strikes from Tatum. Those never looked like landing.
Tatum has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.
Tatum delivers a nice body kick.
Okoro is breathing heavily.
Okoro lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
The crowd cheers as Okoro lands an impressive looking overhand right. Tatum doesn't seem phased though.
Okoro blocks a head kick by Tatum.

Okoro connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Tatum momentarily.
Okoro gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Tatum.
Tatum rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Okoro moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Okoro throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Tatum.
Okoro keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Tatum.
Okoro takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Okoro lands an overhand right.
Okoro swings away with a body shot that misses
and Tatum makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Tatum steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Okoro.

Okoro finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Okoro scores with a head kick. Tatum tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Tatum ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Okoro throws a body kick that misses.
Tatum misses the jab.
Okoro throws a lazy right hand but Tatum sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Okoro rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Tatum connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.


It looks like Manu Okoro has been cut.
Okoro scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Tatum takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
The fighters circling - Tatum throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Tatum is really turning it up, unleashing another crisp combination which drops Okoro like a ton of bricks! The referee dives in to stop the fight, saving Okoro from another fist facial!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:21 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Drederick Tatum!
