The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tachibana drives through with a takedown into guard.
Tachibana must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Tachibana chips away with some ground and pound.
Tachibana with a flurry of punches that miss.
Tachibana throws a strike but Hunter rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tachibana has a closed guard, preventing Hunter from standing up.
Hunter is fighting to break Tachibana's control of his arms but Tachibana is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Eli Hunter wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Hunter cracks Tachibana with a good jab.
Hunter lands a head kick!
Tachibana fails with the takedown
and Hunter counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Hunter defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Tachibana.

Hunter drops Tachibana with a beautiful combination! Tachibana stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Hunter is looking for the KO!

Takuma Tachibana seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Tachibana dodges the punch combination from Hunter.

Tachibana tries to get into range but Hunter steps to the side and lands a beautiful hook that drops Tachibana! He's faceplanted into the mat, ass in the air... he's out cold! That's an image he won't want to show his grandkids when he gets older! Hunter scores the big KO victory!
