The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ewing scores with a hook to the body. McMichaels takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Ewing takes the fight into the clinch.
Ewing stalling against the cage.
McMichaels tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
McMichaels doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
McMichaels jumps guard but Ewing turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

McMichaels tries to break the clinch but Ewing is controlling the position.

McMichaels changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Ewing fights it off and pushes away nicely.

McMichaels connects with a good right hand that stumbles Ewing. Ewing circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Ewing stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Ewing wants it to stay on the feet.

Ewing throws a right and a left that McMichaels avoids nicely.

McMichaels jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Ewing walks away with a smile on his face. McMichaels gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Ewing rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but McMichaels moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
McMichaels misses with a takedown

and Ewing counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
McMichaels tries to get to full guard but Ewing has control of the leg.

Ewing is looking for a kimura but McMichaels is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Ewing to get the leverage.
McMichaels wants to control but Ewing is keeping busy and won't allow it.

A very excited looking Mickey McMichaels rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
