Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Santino Carelli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Edmundo Edilhson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Carelli might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to La Vittoria è Mia. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Carelli. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Edmundo Edilhson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Edilhson seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Carelli does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Edilhson tries to free his leg and advance position but Carelli is retaining full guard.

Carelli working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Edilhson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Edilhson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Carelli isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Edilhson stacks Carelli on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Edilhson!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Santino Carelli.
I think Edilhson has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
