The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Holcomb uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Vemola.
Vemola fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Vemola scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.

It looks like Harvey Holcomb has been cut.

Oh, that's a big right hand from Vemola and Holcomb goes tumbling to the canvas! Vemola follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
