The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Russell Pearce and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smalls scores with a sloppy right hand. Masters should have avoided that one.

It looks like Reggie Smalls has been cut.
Masters tries to work over Smalls's front leg with a kick but Smalls checks it.
Masters misses with a head kick.
Smalls misses with the combination.
Chris Masters seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Masters tests Smalls's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Masters lands with a kick to the temple. Smalls shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Masters misses with a hook.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Smalls moves out of range as Masters throws a body kick.
Masters misses with a head kick.
Masters throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Smalls sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Masters lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Smalls cracks Masters with a right hand to the side of the head.
Smalls looks to land a left hand but Masters moved out of range nicely.
Masters misses with a kick to the body
and Smalls counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Masters misses with a low kick.
A head kick from Masters lands but Smalls takes it in his stride.
Smalls is rocked!
A slapping leg kick lands for Masters.
Oh Smalls is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Masters misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Smalls seems to have got his legs back now.
Smalls will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Masters looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Smalls avoids the head kick by Masters.
Masters tries a head kick but it misses.
A big left from Smalls misses.

Smalls checks the leg kick.
Masters swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Smalls cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Smalls looks to land a body kick but Masters moved away.
Masters smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Smalls fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Smalls throws a nice looking combination but Masters bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Masters throws a nice outside leg kick.
Masters throws the left hand but Smalls avoids the punch easily.
Smalls avoids the head kick by Masters.
Masters defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Smalls.
Smalls takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Masters cracks Smalls with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Smalls falls to his knees and Masters doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:07 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Chris Masters!
