Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Connor OMalley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luca Turilli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). OMalley comes to the cage accompanied by Drunken Lullabies. Luca Turilli is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
OMalley shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Turilli as he avoids it easily.

Turilli rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but OMalley moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
OMalley tries to close the distance and clinch but Turilli swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

and Turilli decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in OMalley's guard.

OMalley looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Turilli has picked OMalley up and slammed him! OMalley can't keep hold of the triangle and Turilli manages to pass to side control!

Turilli has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

OMalley has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Turilli is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for OMalley.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Luca Turilli hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
