PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shane Manson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mariusz Pudzianowski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pudzianowski has chosen Pudzian Band - Dawaj Na Ring as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pudzianowski throws a quick inside leg kick.

Manson is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Pudzianowski's half guard.
Pudzianowski wants to get back to his feet.
Pudzianowski is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Pudzianowski manages to escape and get back to his feet!

Pudzianowski lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Manson sprawling to the canvas. Pudzianowski follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Manson hang on?

It looks like Shane Manson has been cut.
Manson looks like he's trying to stand up.
Manson is breathing heavily.
Pudzianowski is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Manson moves into full guard.
Pudzianowski wants to get up but he can't break Manson's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Manson looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Pudzianowski has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Manson is proving hard to escape from.
Manson seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Pudzianowski gets to his feet. Manson looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Manson clinches.
Pudzianowski misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Manson.

Manson wants the takedown. Pudzianowski is fighting it off but Manson persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Pudzianowski's guard against the cage.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Pudzianowski is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Manson is controlling him well.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Manson seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Pudzianowski for as long as he can get away with.
