The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Joaquim fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Sasquatch.
Sasquatch avoids the head kick by Joaquim.
Sasquatch shoots in and drives through. Joaquim sprawls well.
Sasquatch shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Joaquim defends it nicely.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Sasquatch drops back looking for a leg! Joaquim is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Joaquim manages to kick Sasquatch off! Sasquatch jumps back into Joaquim's guard.
Sasquatch postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Sasquatch is pushing down on Joaquim's leg trying to pass to half guard. Joaquim is fighting to maintain full guard but Sasquatch has managed to sneak the leg through.

Sasquatch is staying tight to Joaquim's torso, preventing him from escaping.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Joaquim throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.
Sasquatch scores with a couple of short elbows.
Joaquim gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Sasquatch is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Joaquim can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Sasquatch working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Joaquim turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Sasquatch off and cradles Joaquim's limp body as Sasquatch celebrates with his corner.
