Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gold Mint (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rick Lance (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Gold Mint!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Rick Lance!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Radbod Blank and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lance tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Mint tries to bum rush Lance with a series of wild strikes but Lance uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Mint on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Lance. Lance obviously looking to wear him down.
Lance throws a jab when Mint was well out of range.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Lance clinches up against the ropes.
Lance lands a shot to the body.
Lance lands a hook to the side of the head.

Lance is working on a single leg takedown against the ropes. Mint can't fight it off and eventually Lance manages to take the fight to the floor. Mint looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Mint looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Lance wants to stand but Mint has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Lance trying to control the position from guard on top but Mint is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Mint is working an open guard so Lance takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Lance clinches with his opponent.
Nice body punch from Lance - that landed with a thud.
Mint drops down looking for an ankle pick but Lance pulls his leg out and moves away.

Lance rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Mint moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Lance delivers a nice body kick.
Mint is breathing heavily.

Lance fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Mint to the ground. Lance is now in Mint's guard.
Mint keeping moving, preventing Lance from controlling successfully.

Lance gets to his feet - Mint follows without any prompting.
Lance throws a quick inside leg kick.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Lance throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Mint stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Mint looking for a takedown.
Lance lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Lance is working Mint over against the ropes.

Lance is trying to trip Mint. He has hold of a leg but Mint is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Lance persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Lance showing good wrestling skills to control the position.

Mint looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Lance connects with a couple of short punches.
Lance's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Lance stands and steps away. Mint gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Mint throws a series of punches but Lance moves out of range.
Lance fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Mint manages to avoid it.
Mint lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Lance throws a head kick that looked like it stung.


It looks like Gold Mint has been cut.
Mint throws a series of punches but Lance moves out of range.
Lance keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Lance gets in close and instigates a clinch.
A right hook to the body lands for Lance.

Lance breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Lance fails to land with a series of punches.

Lance has taken the fight to the clinch.
Mint's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

An uppercut to the body lands inside from Lance.
A right hand to the body from Lance.
Lance lands a left hand.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Lance.
Lance scores with a shoulder strike.

Lance's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Lance throws a head kick that half lands.

Lance shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Lance showed some decent athleticism there.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lance looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Mint with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Lance is trying to work for a kimura but Mint is defending well.
Lance is keen to just control but Mint is a slippery customer.
Lance takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Mint wants to improve his position but Lance is controlling well.
Mint has a hand on Lance's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Lance takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
Lance controlling from the full mount.
Mint keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Lance tries to control but Mint wriggling away.
Lance landing strikes from the mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rick Lance dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Gold Mint's cut.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Lance lands with a kick to the temple. Mint shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Gold Mint is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Mint moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

Lance darts in and clinches Mint up against the ropes.
Lance lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Mint backwards.

Lance manages to break the clinch.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Mint on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
A combination from Mint does no damage.

Lance looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Lance wants to control from the top but Mint keeps moving.
Lance would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Mint looking for a guillotine here but Lance defends easily.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Lance forces his way into half guard.

Still in half guard, Lance seems content to control.

Lance decides to stand and escape the position.

Lance shoots in and bounces Mint off the ropes to secure the takedown into guard.
Lance trying to control the position from guard on top but Mint is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Lance looking to sit in guard and control but Mint gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Lance looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Lance not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Mint trying to control but Lance is working from the bottom.

Mint drops back looking for a leg! Lance is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Lance manages to kick Mint off! Mint jumps back into Lance's guard.

Lance is looking for a triangle but Mint pushes his legs off easily.

Mint thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Lance has his feet on Mint's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Lance misses with a looping right.

A big left from Mint misses.
Lance jabs Mint right on the nose. Mint blinks but takes it well.
Gold Mint is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Mint gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Mint is looking for a triangle but Lance pushes his legs off easily.

Lance gets to his feet - Mint follows without any prompting.
Lance throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Mint.
Lance throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Mint's head.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Mint steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Lance. That one must have hurt.
Mint uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Lance.
Mint throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Lance on the side of the head.
Mint takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Lance lands a nice shot to the body.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Lance.

Mint tries to keep at a distance but Lance has taken the fight into the clinch.

Lance has hold of one of Mint's legs. Mint is fighting the takedown attempt but Lance gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Lance gets to his feet. Mint looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Lance forces Mint back against the ropes and clinches.

Lance is trying to trip Mint. He has hold of a leg but Mint is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Lance persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Lance turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Lance manages to end up in side control.
Mint is looking to regain half guard here but Lance keeps moving and retains side control.

Lance decides to stand back up.
Mint will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Mint throws a right and a left that Lance avoids nicely.
Lance pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Mint fails to land with a series of punches.
Lance misses with a body shot.
Lance throws a body punch but Mint moves out of range.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Lance, right into the meat.

Lance gets a double leg takedown into Mint's guard.

Mint has his foot on Lance's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Lance works his way back into a safe position though.
Rick Lance has got the better of the ground game so far.
Mint wants to sweep here but Lance controlling him for the moment.
Lance sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Mint's guard.
Mint wants to get back to full guard but Lance has mounted him!

Lance is working for a guillotine from mount but Mint frees his head quite easily.
Lance can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Mint is looking to escape.

Lance stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.

Mint gets caught flat footed, as Lance shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Mint has his foot on Lance's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Lance works his way back into a safe position though.

Lance got a little sloppy there for a moment and Mint has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Lance has managed to get both his arms back between Mint's legs - danger averted.
Lance slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Lance is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Mint rather than just go for the knockout.
Mint connects with a nice looking jab.
Lance keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Mint.
Mint throws a right hand that Lance ducks under and follows up with a left that Lance also avoids with ease.
Lance doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
A head kick from Lance lands but Mint takes it in his stride.
A big right from Mint misses.
Good exchange - Lance coming out on top.
A jab from Lance finds it's way through Mint's defenses.
Mint takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

Rick Lance comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Lance has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
