Putin takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Fierro uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Putin.

Putin fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Fierro avoids it really well and circles away.

Putin shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Fierro as he jumps to the side.

Putin moves in looking to clinch but Fierro pushes him off.
Putin shoots for a double leg takedown but Fierro sprawls well. He's pushed Putin's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Fierro has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Oh, that's a big right hand from Putin and Fierro goes tumbling to the canvas! Putin follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.

Putin looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Fierro is still in real trouble! Can Putin finish him?
Fierro really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Putin. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Putin passes to side control.

Putin is working to tighten is grip on Fierro's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Fierro has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Putin is really squeezing tight and eventually Fierro passes out! Putin breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
