Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mitch Pitch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Chase (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mitch Pitch has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Chase gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Pitch in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Chase working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Pitch doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Pitch manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Pitch is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Chase is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Chase has escaped and now he's on top!
Chase wants to stand but Pitch has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

It looks like Mitch Pitch has been cut.

Chase tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Chase moves into range and lands a nice body kick.

and Pitch decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Chase's guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
