The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Struker tries to keep at a distance but Arukis has taken the fight into the clinch.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Alexis Arukis hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Struker sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Arukis has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Arukis is pushing down on Struker's leg trying to pass to half guard. Struker is fighting to maintain full guard but Arukis has managed to sneak the leg through.
Arukis is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Alexis Arukis has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Arukis lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Alexis Arukis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Arukis throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Struker stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Vash Struker.

Arukis moves into range and throws a big uppercut. OH! Struker goes down! Can Arukis finish him!?
Arukis sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Struker's guard.
Arukis seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Alexis Arukis showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Arukis throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Struker stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Arukis slips a nice elbow through Struker's hands, connecting with Struker's forehead.
Arukis works his way into side control.
Struker might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Let's hope that Arukis has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Arukis waves his right hand out in front of him, looking to distract Struker. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Struker to the canvas! Can he finish him!?

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Well Arukis has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
