Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jacek Halman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steven Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Steven Williams has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jacek Halman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Steven Williams!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Alec Ball and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Williams scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Williams shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Halman pinned against the cage. Halman gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Williams throws a sloppy head kick and Halman moves out of range easily.
Halman fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Halman pushes Williams up against the cage in a clinch.

A frustrated look appears on Williams's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Williams stops a takedown attempt from Halman.
Halman has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Williams escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Halman blocks a head kick by Williams.
Williams misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Williams fails to land with a series of punches.
Williams motions for Halman to come forward. Williams throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Williams moves in looking to clinch but Halman pushes him off.
Halman tries to clinch but Williams moves out of range.
Williams ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Halman moves away.

Halman has managed to clinch.
Williams tries to pull guard but Halman forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Williams jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Halman walks away with a smile on his face. Williams gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Williams looks to land a combination but Halman avoids it well.
Halman shoots for a takedown but Williams saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Halman shoots in but Williams avoids the takedown attempt easily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Williams throws a leg kick which misses Halman's front leg but catches the back leg as Halman tries to avoid it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Halman closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Halman seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Williams for as long as he can get away with.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Williams throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Halman escapes and throws Williams's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Halman is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Williams is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Halman is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Williams's shoulder. That is not cool.

Halman seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Williams does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Williams wants to control but Halman is keeping busy and won't allow it.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Halman manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Williams on his heels. He'll look to pass Williams's guard now, I'm sure.

Halman keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Williams's efforts to push away.

Halman manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Halman lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Williams!

Halman looking for a guillotine from mount but Williams is having none of it.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Halman, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
