Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Manong Jujutsu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Erik Snowman!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Ivan Kurochkin and Fedor Mirinova.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Snowman fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Jujutsu, pushing him back against the cage.

Snowman breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
A head kick by Jujutsu misses

and Snowman counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jujutsu wants to control but Snowman is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Snowman looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

We're going to have a standup here because Manong Jujutsu wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Snowman feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
