Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Big Young (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Piper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Young gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Piper counters by moving into the clinch.
Young's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Piper can't get the takedown.
Young tries to score a body lock takedown but Piper shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Piper tries to break the clinch but Young is controlling the position.

Piper turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Piper manages to end up in side control.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Young shoots in for a takedown but Piper shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Young throws a nice looking combination but Piper bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Young shoots in looking for a takedown. Piper tries to sprawl out of it but Young keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Piper manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Piper looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Young is fending him off so far but Piper persists. Nope, Young circles away and we're back to standing.
Piper stalks Young and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Young's face. Young staggers backwards, shaken.
Piper throws a wild body kick that Young sees coming a mile off.

Piper drives through and clinches with Young against the cage.

Piper is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Young pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The fight stays on the outside here - Piper looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
