The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carthew shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Walker but Walker pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Carthew blocks a head kick by Walker.
Carthew avoids the head kick by Walker.
Carthew circles away from the clinch attempt.
Walker fails in his attempt to clinch.

Walker forces Carthew back against the cage and clinches.
Walker wants to break free but Carthew has control.

Walker drags the fight down to the ground.
Walker wants to stand and escape but Carthew is having none of it.

Walker has Carthew pulled in close to control his posture.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Alex Walker was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Carthew keeps the fight on the outside.

Carthew is breathing heavily.
Walker is looking for a sweep. Carthew is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Walker looks like he's trying to stand up.
Carthew keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Walker is trying to maintain the position but Carthew is very close to passing his half guard.
Walker is staying active underneath Carthew, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Walker has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Carthew is working away from the top position though.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Walker lands with a nice body punch.
Walker tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Carthew paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Carthew will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Walker connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

It looks like Bobby Carthew has been cut.

Walker walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Carthew drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Walker swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Carthew's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
