Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Leshley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Rosholt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Leshley's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Step into a World. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tony Rosholt!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, William Peck and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rosholt cracks Leshley with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Rosholt walks forward, straight into a front kick from Leshley.
Leshley fails with an attempt to clinch.
Rosholt ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Leshley moves away.
Rosholt lands a slapping body shot.
Rosholt throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Leshley ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Tony Rosholt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A left lands for Leshley.


It looks like Tony Rosholt has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Rosholt lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Leshley avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Leshley shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Rosholt sprawls well. Rosholt wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Leshley gets slowly back to his feet.

Rosholt has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Leshley after a bit of a struggle.

Rosholt tries to throw a body punch but Leshley avoids it by throwing Rosholt back against the cage.

Leshley closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Leshley lands in his opponent's guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Rosholt is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Leshley throws a shot from downtown. Rosholt moves away and avoids it.
The fighters circling - Rosholt throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Leshley shoots for a double leg takedown but Rosholt sprawls well. He's pushed Leshley's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Rosholt is looking to improve his position but Leshley isn't that keen on the idea.

Rosholt sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Leshley bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Rosholt's guard.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Bobby Leshley.
Well Leshley has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
