Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Kiare (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stu Bennett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kiare's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Follow you Home - Nickelback. Bennett has chosen Smuggly Ugly as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kevin Kiare!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Stu Bennett!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Skip Squint and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bennett with a lazy takedown attempt

and Kiare counters with a single leg into guard. Bennett didn't expect that.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Bennett utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Kiare knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bennett on the ground.
Kiare throws a strike but Bennett rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Kiare looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Bennett has picked Kiare up and slammed him! Kiare can't keep hold of the triangle and Bennett manages to pass to side control!

Let's hope that Bennett has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Bennett has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kiare fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

Kiare scores with a crisp jab that stopped Bennett in his tracks.

Bennett takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Bennett's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Stu Bennett has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Kiare shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Kiare throws a strike but Bennett rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bennett accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Kiare connects with a good right hand that stumbles Bennett. Bennett circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Bennett shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Bennett was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bennett thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Stu Bennett will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Kiare has a takedown stuffed.
Bennett shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Kiare defends it nicely.
Kiare tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Bennett swivels and escapes.

Bennett rushes Kiare and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Bennett jumps guard and drags Kiare to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Bennett lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Kiare!

Bennett is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Kiare to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Kiare shrugs it off.

Stu Bennett showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!


Kiare defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Bennett.
A jab from Kiare finds it's way through Bennett's defenses.
Kiare shoots in looking for a takedown but Bennett manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Kiare's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Bennett will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Bennett takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Bennett gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Bennett ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Bennett no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
