Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pate Paksuniska (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bill Lapointe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lapointe is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Don't Drink The Water. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paksuniska misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Paksuniska looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Lapointe bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Paksuniska gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Lapointe sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Paksuniska's guard.
Lapointe is looking to take a break and control but Paksuniska is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Lapointe is stalling here. Paksuniska is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Lapointe seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Paksuniska has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Paksuniska wants to pass the guard but Lapointe is defending well.
Lapointe is pressing down on Paksuniska's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Lapointe is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Lapointe wants to free his trapped foot but Paksuniska is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Lapointe goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Paksuniska turns into him and now he's in Lapointe's guard.

Lapointe bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Paksuniska's guard.
Lapointe stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Paksuniska swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Lapointe is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Paksuniska is trying to escape and Lapointe transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Paksuniska is forced to tap! Nice work there by Lapointe! Very nice indeed!
