Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Pavel Burov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Larry Ballard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Burov comes to the cage accompanied by Russian Rocket. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ballard closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Burov takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Burov misses with a hook. Ballard ducked under it nicely.
Ballard misses the shot to the body.
Burov misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Ballard.
Ballard is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Ballard darts in trying to clinch
and Burov counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Ballard thinking.
Burov scores with a crisp jab that stopped Ballard in his tracks.
Burov avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Burov, as that shot connected.

A punch lands to the side of Burov 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Burov walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Ballard ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Ballard gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Ballard is pushing Burov up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Ballard is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Burov is keeping busy.
Burov drops down looking for an ankle pick but Ballard pulls his leg out and moves away.

Burov fails to land with a series of punches.
Ballard has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Ballard there as he acknowledges the shot.
Burov lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Burov rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ballard moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Burov swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Ballard counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Ballard comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

A telegraphed right hand from Ballard misses the target.
Ballard closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Ballard pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Burov back to the cage. Ballard follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Ballard uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Burov.
Ballard ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Burov moves away.
The fight stays on the outside here - Ballard looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Ballard fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Burov manages to avoid it.
Burov slips under a jab.
Ballard takes a swing at Burov's ribcage but misses.
Burov misses with a looping left.
Ballard throws a right hand that Burov ducks under and follows up with a left that Burov also avoids with ease.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Burov breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Burov avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Burov cracks Ballard with a right hand to the side of the head.
Burov swats away the attempt to clinch by Ballard.

Ballard is starting to get sloppy and is letting his hands down. Burov just took advantage and landed a stinging jab. Oh! Now a right hook, right on the button! Ballard has gone limp and this one is over!
