Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mika Kallio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ginger Root (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Root has chosen Viva la Vida as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Mika Kallio has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mika Kallio!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ginger Root!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Anni Minnemäki and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kallio stuffs the takedown.
Root feints and as Kallio raises his hands in defense, Root changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Kallio manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Kallio fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Kallio swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Root.
Root looks gassed!
Kallio throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Root stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Kallio follows into mount!
It looks like Ginger Root has been cut.
Root can't escape the position.
Root is controlling an arm, preventing Kallio from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Root sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Root trying to get back to full guard but Kallio takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!
Kallio raining down shots from the mount!
Root is rocked!
Root takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Kallio's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mika Kallio!
After winning the bout, Mika Kallio thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
