Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Dominic Ferrari!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Franz Uther!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Johanna Lukiainen and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ferrari ducks under a wild hook from Uther.
Uther looks to land a left hand but Ferrari moved out of range nicely.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Ferrari wants to land a leg kick but Uther is out of range.
Ferrari pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Uther misses the shot to the body.
Ferrari shoots in but Uther avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Ferrari throws a low kick, looking for Uther's leg but Uther calmly moves out of range.

Ferrari misses with a low kick as Uther jumps back.
Ferrari shoots in for a double leg but Uther sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Ferrari pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Ferrari keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Ferrari tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Uther throws a jab when Ferrari was well out of range.
The fighters circling - Ferrari throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Ferrari tries to clinch up but Uther circles away and keeps his distance.

Uther closes the distance and pushes Ferrari back into the cage.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Uther creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Ferrari shoots in and drives through. Uther sprawls well.

Uther is desperately trying to improve his position but Ferrari has a good base and remains in mount.
Uther is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ferrari working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Uther is trying desperately to improve position.
Ferrari is trying to take his opponent's back.

Ferrari goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Uther turns into him and now he's in Ferrari's guard.

Uther tries to stand but Ferrari is controlling from the bottom.

Uther must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Ferrari bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Uther's guard.

Ferrari is trying to work for a kimura but Uther is defending well.

Ferrari looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Ferrari is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Uther regains half guard.
Uther wants to get back to full guard.
Uther is pressing down on Ferrari's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Ferrari has gone for a leg lock! Uther slips out almost immediately though and dives into Ferrari's guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Ferrari is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Uther lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Ferrari backwards.

Ferrari gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

Ferrari drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Uther manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Ferrari has Uther in his guard.

Ferrari isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Uther stacks Ferrari on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Uther!

Poor strikes thrown by Uther there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
