The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ortiz moves out of range as Paristo strikes.
Paristo paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Paristo throws a hook but Ortiz blocks it.

Paristo tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Paristo swings wildly with an uppercut but Ortiz uses good head movement to avoid it.
Paristo tries to work over Ortiz's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Ortiz has Paristo pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Paristo manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

A head punch on the inside from Paristo fails to land.
Ortiz has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Paristo after a bit of a struggle.

Pekka Paristo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Paristo moves to clinch but Ortiz breaks away
enabling Ortiz to counter with a crisp jab.
Paristo will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Paristo cracks Ortiz with a right hand to the side of the head.

Ortiz shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Paristo napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Ortiz is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Paristo will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Ortiz Throws a clean left jab. Ortiz Twirls his body and connects with a Spinning Back Fist that connects flush with Paristo's chin! Paristo crumbles to the ground and Ortiz follows up with some unanswered strikes. It's all over!! Nice standup skills displayed by Ortiz!
