Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kenshi Zuko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thom Le Bou (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Zuko might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to The Writ. Le Bou has chosen H.A.M. - Kanye west as his entrance music. Thom Le Bou told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kenshi Zuko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Thom Le Bou!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Franklyn Lucas and Jorge Garcia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Le Bou stuns Zuko with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Zuko shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Le Bou but Le Bou pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Nice defenses there by Le Bou.
Le Bou shoots for a takedown but Zuko saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Zuko misses with a double jab.
Zuko throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Zuko works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Le Bou takes a swing at Zuko's ribcage but misses.
Zuko uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
A punch combination from Le Bou misses.
Le Bou throws out a powerful jab.
Zuko scores with a jab.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Le Bou bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Zuko throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Le Bou throws a body punch but Zuko moves out of range.
Le Bou tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Zuko manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Le Bou displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Zuko throws out the jab.
Zuko takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Le Bou swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Zuko fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

Zuko misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Le Bou fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Le Bou fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Zuko looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Le Bou lands a jab to Zuko's midsection.
Le Bou misses the shot to the body.
Le Bou lands with an uppercut that bounces Zuko off the cage and back into range.
Le Bou avoids the body shot from Zuko.
Zuko throws a low kick, looking for Le Bou's leg but Le Bou calmly moves out of range.
Zuko swings for the body but Le Bou moves out of range.
Zuko swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Zuko takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Le Bou throws a series of punches but Zuko avoids them all with ease.
Le Bou fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Le Bou fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Zuko avoids it really well and circles away.

Zuko does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Le Bou misses with a low kick.
Le Bou throws a lazy right hand but Zuko sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Le Bou lands a right hook to the body.
Le Bou lands a jab to Zuko's midsection.
Le Bou throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Zuko stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Le Bou lands a jab-cross combination.
Le Bou slips a jab and a cross from Zuko.
Zuko misses with a series of wild punches.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Le Bou throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Zuko stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Le Bou steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Zuko.
Zuko gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Zuko misses with a right hand
and Le Bou counters with a stiff right hand.
Le Bou lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Zuko throws a jab when Le Bou was well out of range.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Nice body punch from Le Bou.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Zuko misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Le Bou.
Le Bou walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Zuko checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Zuko slips a jab from Le Bou.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Thom Le Bou dominated that round.
That's time! Zuko's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Le Bou uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Zuko has time to react.

Le Bou has taken the fight to the clinch.

Zuko pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Le Bou is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Zuko rather than just go for the knockout.
Nice defenses there by Zuko.
Le Bou on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Le Bou scores with a hook to the body. Zuko takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Le Bou throws a solid leg kick but Zuko takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Le Bou.
Le Bou lands with a good body shot.
Zuko scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Zuko throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Le Bou tries to work over Zuko's front leg with a kick but Zuko checks it.

Zuko feints and as Le Bou raises his hands in defense, Zuko changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Le Bou avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Zuko throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Zuko slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Zuko wants to control from the top but Le Bou keeps moving.
Zuko is really struggling to control Le Bou but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Le Bou wants to sweep here but Zuko controlling him for the moment.

We're going to have a standup here because Kenshi Zuko wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Le Bou digs a good body shot into Zuko's ribs.
Le Bou misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Zuko throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Zuko thows a left - swing and a miss!
Le Bou dives in and grabs Zuko's left leg, looking for a takedown. Zuko pushes down on Le Bou's head and hops out.
Zuko fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Le Bou on the side of the head.

Le Bou shoots in and bounces Zuko off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Le Bou tries to free his leg and advance position but Zuko is retaining full guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Le Bou is looking to clinch but Zuko is avoiding it.

Le Bou keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Some bone on bone action there as Le Bou checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Zuko avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
An inside leg kick from Zuko misses.
Le Bou looks for the body kick but Zuko saw that one coming.
Zuko throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Zuko needs to keep his hands up - Le Bou had a free shot at his head there.
Zuko walks into a left hand.
Le Bou lands a jab to the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Thom Le Bou will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Le Bou scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Zuko cracks Le Bou with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Le Bou throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Zuko throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Le Bou jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Le Bou throws a half hearted mid kick.
Zuko keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Zuko scores with the left hand. Le Bou knows he should have avoided that one.

Le Bou uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Zuko has time to react.
Zuko uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Le Bou.
Le Bou thows a body shot but no joy.
Zuko takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Le Bou fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Zuko manages to avoid it.
Danga de danga de dang - Le Bou scores with a four punch combination!
Zuko throws a series of punches but Le Bou moves out of range.
The fighters circle momentarily. Le Bou darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Le Bou steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Zuko.

Le Bou throws the left hand but Zuko avoids the punch easily.
Zuko uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Le Bou.
Le Bou scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.

Zuko darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Zuko looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Le Bou with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Kenshi Zuko has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Le Bou looking to hit a scissor sweep but Zuko is one step ahead there.

Zuko missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Le Bou preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Zuko looking to sit in guard and control but Le Bou gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Le Bou engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Thom Le Bou is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Kenshi Zuko overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Zuko is trying to keep Le Bou in close.

Le Bou wants to control from the top but Zuko keeps moving.
Le Bou sitting in guard here, content to control.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Kenshi Zuko.
I think Le Bou has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
