Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Lux Leaves!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Senior Los Mentos!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Alec Ball and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Los Mentos misses with the combination.
Los Mentos lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Leaves circles away quickly and effectively.
Leaves dives in and grabs Los Mentos's left leg, looking for a takedown. Los Mentos pushes down on Leaves's head and hops out.
Los Mentos throws a nice looking combination but Leaves bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Los Mentos feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Leavess jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Los Mentos tries to bum rush Leaves with a series of wild strikes but Leaves uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Leaves fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Los Mentos avoids it really well and circles away.
Leaves has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
A punch combination from Los Mentos misses.
Los Mentos steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Leaves.
Leaves shoots in looking for a takedown but Los Mentos manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Leaves's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lux Leaves. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Leaves drops his hands momentarily and Los Mentos takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Leaves is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Los Mentos lands a nice hook to Leaves's body. Leaves takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Oh Leaves is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Los Mentos connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Leaves to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by Los Mentos!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:01 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Senior Los Mentos!
