Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Hamilton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Greg Cola (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Greg Cola!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hamilton showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Cola.
Hamilton tries to score a power double leg takedown but Cola sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hamilton somewhat.
Hamilton shoots for a double leg takedown but Cola sprawls well. He's pushed Hamilton's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Cola is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Hamilton is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Cola gets to mount! Hamilton was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Hamilton is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Hamilton is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Cola is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Cola can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Hamilton is looking to escape.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Hamilton fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Cola avoids it really well and circles away.
Ryan Hamilton is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Hamilton stuffs the takedown attempt from Cola. Cola gets slowly back to his feet.
Cola lands a head kick. Hamilton smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Hamilton leaves Cola with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Hamilton looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Cola is fending him off so far but Hamilton persists. Nope, Cola circles away and we're back to standing.

Cola manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Hamilton on his heels. He'll look to pass Hamilton's guard now, I'm sure.
Cola tries to stand but Hamilton is controlling from the bottom.

Hamilton wants to get back to full guard.
