The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ganso throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.

Kljajic darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Ganso is taking a breather. Kljajic says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Paulo Ganso has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Ganso tries a head kick but it misses.
Ganso fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Horrible takedown by Ganso or perhaps it was just good defense by Kljajic which made him look bad.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ganso wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Kljajic content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Ganso has locked up a guillotine! Ganso's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Kljajic is holding on here and Ganso must be using up a lot of energy. Kljajic has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Ganso gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
