PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Tunjic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charles Bennett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tunjic comes to the cage accompanied by More Then A Feeling. Bennett has chosen Riot Maker by Tech N9ne as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bennett 's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Bennett duly obliges.
Tunjic shoots in looking for a takedown. Bennett tries to sprawl out of it but Tunjic keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bennett manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Tunjic tries to clinch but Bennett is having none of it.
Bennett will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Bennett cracks Tunjic with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Charles Bennett seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Tunjic is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Bennett pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Bennett closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Bennett is trying to control the action in half guard but Tunjic is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Bennett wants to take a breather but Tunjic is having none of it.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Bennett throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Tunjic stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bennett shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Tunjic eats them both and turns towards Bennett to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Charles Bennett showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Bennett lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Bennett leaves Tunjic with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Tunjic looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
