PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Przemyslaw Micun (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dexter Fielding (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Micun comes to the cage accompanied by Fort minor- Remember my name. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Mauricio Rocha and Thiago Cunha.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Micun avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Fielding tries to score with a low kick but Micun moves his leg out of the way.
Fielding misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Micun is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Fielding.
Fielding throws a nice looking combination but Micun bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Micun tries to clinch up.
Micun tries to close the distance and clinch up but Fielding swats him away and circles back towards the center.

and Fielding holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Fielding gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Fielding uses his free foot to push down on Micun's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Micun.

Fielding looking to control but Micun is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Fielding swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Micun is now in Fielding's guard. A big mistake from Fielding there, giving up the dominant position!
Micun wants to control from the top but Fielding keeps moving.
Fielding preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Fielding holds on and takes a little breather.
Fielding's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Micun postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Fielding is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Micun, into his guard.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Dexter Fielding hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Fielding tries to clinch there but Micun circles away.

Micun moves in looking to clinch but Fielding pushes him off.
Fielding lands a jab-cross combination.

Fielding closes the distance and clinches.
Fielding tries to break the clinch but Micun is controlling the position.

Fielding is trying to trip Micun. He has hold of a leg but Micun is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Fielding persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fielding forces his way into half guard.
Fielding stops Micun from getting back to his feet.
Fielding with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Fielding passes the guard and advances to mount!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Fielding gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
Fielding moves in looking to clinch but Micun pushes him off.

Fielding creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Fielding tries to work over Micun's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Micun tries to clinch up.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Micun is trying to pull guard but Fielding turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Fielding misses with a body punch.
Micun jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Fielding walks away with a smile on his face. Micun gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Fielding finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Fielding fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Micun gets the takedown into side control.

Fielding explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
Fielding tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Micun takes a shot right to the bread basket.

Fielding clinches up with Micun and pushes him back against the cage.
Micun fails to pull guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Przemyslaw Micun. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Fielding gets underhooks to prevent Micun's takedown attempt.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Fielding just misses with a elbow thrown towards Micun's brow.
Micun is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Fielding to keep the fight standing.

Micun tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Fielding smiles and moves away.

Fielding throws a nice outside leg kick.

Micun gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Fielding sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Fielding trying to control the position from guard on top but Micun is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Fielding controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Fielding is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Przemyslaw Micun is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Fielding fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Micun, pushing him back against the cage.
Fielding throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Fielding tries to throw a body punch but Micun avoids it by throwing Fielding back against the cage.
Micun fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Fielding is working for takedown but Micun is calmly controlling the position for now.
Micun misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Micun tries to land a knee to the head but Fielding blocks with his arms.

A shot in the inside from Fielding.
Micun is trying to stall.
Micun is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Fielding to keep the fight standing.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Micun.
Fielding lands with a short shot to the head.

Fielding turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Fielding manages to end up in side control.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Fielding controls the position from side control.
Let's hope that Fielding has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Micun is pressed up against the cage. Fielding has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Micun down to the mat. Micun avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Fielding closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Micun's guard.
