Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jorge Dennis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Akaboshi Aida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dennis's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Bark at the moon. Aida is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: The Passenger - Iggy Pop. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Jorge Dennis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Aida changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dennis tries to avoid it but Aida manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dennis to the ground. Dennis escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Dennis feints and as Aida raises his hands in defense, Dennis changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Aida wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Dennis is now in half guard.
Aida wants to get back to full guard.

Akaboshi Aida showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Aida drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Aida jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Well Aida has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
