Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jon Irenicus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Odin Raveneye (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Irenicus kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Cloakwood Forest. Jon Irenicus had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Leandro Rodrigues and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Irenicus shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Raveneye counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Raveneye lands with a hook. Irenicus tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Irenicus misses with a takedown attempt
and Raveneye counters with a right hand to the body.
Raveneye feints a jab promting Irenicus to slip. Raveneye then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Irenicus slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Irenicus takes a shot to the body in his stride.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Raveneye slips a straight right by Irenicus.
Raveneye will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Raveneye dips to his left and cracks Irenicus with an uppercut!
Irenicus shoots and misses
and Raveneye counters with a straight right hand.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jon Irenicus. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Irenicus chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Raveneye can pounce on him.

Raveneye slips under a jab.
Raveneye scores with a one two! Irenicus had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Raveneye ducks under a wild hook from Irenicus.
Irenicus closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Raveneye to the mat! Raveneye manages to get full guard.
Irenicus drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Irenicus jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Raveneye is trying to keep Irenicus in close.
Raveneye wants to stand and escape but Irenicus is having none of it.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Raveneye can do anything to dispel that myth.
Irenicus pushing down on Raveneye's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Irenicus has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Raveneye defend it? Irenicus steps over the head and cranks it - Raveneye is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Irenicus!

Jon Irenicus decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
