Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Greg Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pumba Ottavainen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pumba Ottavainen told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ottavainen lets loose with a powerful body kick. Anderson will feel that in the morning.
Anderson shoots for a double leg takedown but Ottavainen sprawls well. He's pushed Anderson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
A nice inside leg kick there by Ottavainen. That's going to slow Anderson down.

Anderson lands with a hook. Ottavainen tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Anderson shoots in for a takedown but Ottavainen shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Anderson lands with a hook. Ottavainen tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Anderson lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Ottavainen quite badly. Ottavainen pulls Anderson in close trying to recover. Anderson postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Ottavainen on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Ottavainen doesn't seem to be complaining too much.

After the fight, Greg Anderson was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
