The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dan fails with the takedown.
Rabbits ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Dan moves away.
Dan throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Rabbits's waist but Rabbits gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dan off to one side.

Dan tries for a takedown but Rabbits sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Rabbits stuns Dan with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.

Dan shoots for a takedown but Rabbits saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Purdy Rabbits is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Oh Dan is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Dan seems to have got his legs back now.
Donk. Rabbits catches Dan right on the button with a cross.

Rabbits cracks Dan with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Dan looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Rabbits finish him?

Roman Dan's cut is getting worse.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Rabbits throws a sloppy head kick and Dan moves out of range easily.
Dan doesn't manage to clinch there - Rabbits circles away.

Dan takes the fight into the clinch.
Rabbits lands a shoulder strike.
Dan takes an elbow to the forehead.
Dan tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Rabbits breaks from the clinch.
Dan shoots for a double leg takedown but Rabbits sprawls well. He's pushed Dan's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Rabbits has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Dan tries to close the distance and clinch up but Rabbits swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Dan shoots for a takedown but Rabbits saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Dan closes the distance and clinches up with Rabbits, looking for a takedown. Dan pushes Rabbits against the cage but Rabbits circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Rabbits throws a lazy right hand but Dan sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Rabbits ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Dan moves away.
Rabbits rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Dan moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Rabbits connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Dan jabs Rabbits right on the nose. Rabbits blinks but takes it well.
Rabbits misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Rabbits stuffs the takedown attempt from Dan. Dan gets slowly back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on Roman Dan's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Dan looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Rabbits throws a low kick but Dan avoids it.

Dan fakes the leg kick and cracks Rabbits in the body.

Rabbits throws a right and a left that Dan avoids nicely.

Dan feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Dan tries to clinch up but Rabbits circles away and keeps his distance.

Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Dan! Rabbits is out on his feet! Dan rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Rabbits is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Rabbits is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
