Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Andy Kaufman Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kanrosch Timoshenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Andy Kaufman Jr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kanrosch Timoshenko!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Vladimir Khabensky and Viktor Lagutenko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Kaufman Jr seems to be working for a kimura but Timoshenko defends the submission attempt.

Kaufman Jr is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Kaufman Jr stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Timoshenko swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Timoshenko really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kaufman Jr. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Timoshenko bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Kaufman Jr's guard.

It looks like Timoshenko is going to stand back up.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close round but I would say that Andy Kaufman Jr will probably get the nod.

Kanrosch Timoshenko showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Timoshenko lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Timoshenko throws a low kick, looking for Kaufman Jr's leg but Kaufman Jr calmly moves out of range.
Timoshenko stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Timoshenko wants it to stay on the feet.

Still in the clinch, Timoshenko scores with a nice short uppercut.

Timoshenko decides to stand back up. Timoshenko steps back and let's Kaufman Jr get back to his feet.

Kanrosch Timoshenko comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Timoshenko has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

After the fight, Kanrosch Timoshenko was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
