And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Dillan Fox and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Shonuck looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Steel shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Shonuck sprawls well. Shonuck wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Steel gets slowly back to his feet.

Steel shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Steel working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Shonuck knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Steel on the ground.

Steel is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Shonuck has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Shonuck!

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Steel is on top in guard.

Shonuck changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Steel looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Shonuck stands up and beckons Steel to his feet.

Steel shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Shonuck's guard.

Shonuck pushes Steel off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Steel ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Steel no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Steel isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Shonuck stacks Steel on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Shonuck!
