The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hammer lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Hammer has taken the fight to the clinch.

Hammer gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Jobber vX regains guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Hammer gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Greg Hammer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hammer buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Jobber vX tries to clinch up

and Hammer holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Jobber vX wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Jobber vX has had enough of the clinch but Hammer keeps him there for the moment.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hammer manages to break the clinch.
Hammer misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Hammer feints a jab promting Jobber vX to slip. Hammer then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Jobber vX slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Jobber vX is rocked!

Hammer manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Jobber vX on his heels. He'll look to pass Jobber vX's guard now, I'm sure.
Jobber vX is still in real trouble! Can Hammer finish him?
Hammer passes Jobber vX's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Jobber vX really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hammer. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Hammer is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Hammer throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hammer unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Jobber vX wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Hammer celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
