PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ruin Yuz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Quintonn Jacksson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jacksson is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Rampage entrance song. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Jacksson.
Jacksson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Yuz as he avoids it easily.

Jacksson takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Jacksson drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Yuz manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Jacksson has Yuz in his guard.

Yuz postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Jacksson is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Yuz, into his guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close round but I would say that Ruin Yuz will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Yuz is fighting off a takedown attempt but Jacksson is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Yuz to the mat. Yuz regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Yuz looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Yuz goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Jacksson has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Yuz but great work by Jacksson.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Yuz, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
