Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Steven Stamkos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Stamkos enables Gracie to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Stamkos manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Stamkos escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Gracie gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Gracie wants to control from the top but Stamkos keeps moving.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Stamkos holds on and takes a little breather.

Gracie decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Gracie really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Stamkos. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Gracie shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Stamkos's guard.

Stamkos is looking for a triangle here but Gracie uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Gracie is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Gracie takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Gracie shoots for a double leg takedown but Stamkos sprawls well. He's pushed Gracie's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Stamkos tries a head kick but it misses.

Gracie dives in and grabs Stamkos's left leg, looking for a takedown. Stamkos pushes down on Gracie's head and hops out.

Gracie tries to score a power double leg takedown but Stamkos sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Gracie somewhat.

That was a close second round but I would say that Steven Stamkos will probably get the nod.

Stamkos drives through and clinches with Gracie against the cage.
Gracie wants a takedown but no success here.
Stamkos stalls.
Stamkos can't get the takedown.
Gracie goes for a takedown in the clinch but Stamkos prevents it.

Gracie tightens his grip and picks Stamkos up, before dumping him to the ground. Stamkos manages to land in guard.
Gracie wants to pass the guard but Stamkos is keeping the position.

Gracie got a little sloppy there for a moment and Stamkos has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Gracie has managed to get both his arms back between Stamkos's legs - danger averted.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Sam Gracie was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Gracie changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Stamkos looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Stamkos is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Gracie off and has taken his back!

Stamkos is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Gracie has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Stamkos might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Stamkos thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Sam Gracie has got the better of the ground game so far.

Gracie is pulling down on Stamkos's head to control his posture.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Sam Gracie.
I think Gracie has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
