Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Hirohito Nitta and Yukihiro Yamamoto.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kiriyama's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Sapp connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Kiriyama scrambles back to his feet.

It looks like Kazuya Kiriyama has been cut.
Kiriyama tries to move into range but Sapp moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Sapp shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Sapp showed some decent athleticism there.
Sapp throwing shots but Kiriyama is blocking nicely.
Sapp thows a huge punch but Kiriyama dodges it nicely.
Sapp thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Kiriyama's head.
Sapp scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Sapp seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

That has opened up Kazuya Kiriyama's cut even more.
Sapp throwing shots but Kiriyama is blocking nicely.
Kiriyama won't allow Sapp to pass to mount.
Sapp is working hard here to advance position.
Sapp thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Sapp lands strikes from half guard.

The cut above Kazuya Kiriyama's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sapp wants to take a breather but Kiriyama is having none of it.

Kazuya Kiriyama's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Kazuya Kiriyama's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
