The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kato swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Kato tried to score with a low kick but Fedorov checks it.
Kato looks to land a combination but Fedorov avoids it well.

Fedorov closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Kato is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Fedorov pulls his head out easily.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Fedorov controlling the action here.
Fedorov is pressing down on Kato's thigh, looking to free his foot. Kato is holding on for now.
Fedorov wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kato keeps working.
Fedorov wants to stand up but Kato is controlling the position.
Fedorov is keen to just control but Kato is a slippery customer.

Aleksandr Fedorov has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Fedorov circles away from the clinch attempt.

and Fedorov counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Kato has his foot on Fedorov's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Fedorov works his way back into a safe position though.

Kato looking for a triangle here. Fedorov is fighting it but it looks tight! Kato pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Fedorov is tapping out - this one is all over!
