Overeem comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Ya habibi yalla kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Overeem tries to clinch up but Guey circles away and keeps his distance.
Overeem doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Guey misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Guey tests Overeem's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Overeem throws a sloppy head kick
and Guey counters with a left to the body.
Guey lands with a straight right. Overeem didn't see that one coming.
Guey throws a right hand that Overeem ducks under and follows up with a left that Overeem also avoids with ease.
Guey moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Badr Overeem seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Guey looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Overeem misses with a jab, cross combination.

Guey fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Overeem looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Guey lands an overhand right.
Guey lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Overeem backs up against the cage.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Guey lands a nice shot that snaps Overeem's head back.
Overeem doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Guey is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Guey cracks Overeem with an open hand slap.
Guey scores with a nice strike.

Overeem shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Overeem is still on wobbly legs! Can Guey finish him?
Overeem takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Guey pounces like a tiger and cracks Overeem with a vicious hook! Overeem is down but not out! Guey follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
