Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jake Lamotta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Spencer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lamotta kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is yes. Spencer has chosen Ride Of The Valkyries - Richard Wagner as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 7 - 1, fighting out of London, Jake Lamotta!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mark Spencer!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Johanna Lukiainen and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spencer takes one to the side of the head.
Lamotta throws a lazy right hand but Spencer sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Lamotta misses with the combination.
Jake Lamotta seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lamotta looks to land a body kick but Spencer moved away.
Spencer blocks a head kick by Lamotta.
Lamotta waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Spencer.
Lamotta throws a hook to the side of Spencer's head but Spencer sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Spencer uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Lamotta.
Lamotta misses with a right hand
and Spencer counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Spencer swinging wildly here.
Lamotta swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lamotta jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Spencer moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Spencer fails with the takedown
letting Lamotta counter with a right hand.
Lamotta lands a jab to Spencer's midsection.
Spencer changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Lamotta throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Spencer scores with a sloppy right hand. Lamotta should have avoided that one.
Lamotta loads up on a big right hand but Spencer slips the punch.
Spencer gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Lamotta misses with a lunging right hand
and Spencer counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Lamotta lunges at Spencer with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Spencer's hand.
Spencer takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Lamotta stuffs the takedown attempt from Spencer. Spencer gets slowly back to his feet.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Spencer looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Spencer scores with a leg kick.
Spencer uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Lamotta.
Lamotta throws a right and a left that Spencer avoids nicely.
Lamotta pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
No joy there for Lamotta, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Lamotta scores with the left hand. Spencer knows he should have avoided that one.
Spencer throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Lamotta stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Spencer takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Spencer fails with a takedown attempt.
Jake Lamotta has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mark Spencer.
Spencer thows a body shot but no joy.
Lamotta loads up on a big right hand but Spencer slips the punch.
Lamotta lands a nice looking kick to the body. Spencer takes a step back to recover.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Lamotta walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Lamotta misses with a right hand

and Spencer decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Lamotta's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Lamotta is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Spencer is aware though and is defending well.
Spencer passes into half guard.
Lamotta is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Spencer moves nicely into side control.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Spencer lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Spencer wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lamotta keeps working.
Lamotta prevents Spencer from improving position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Jake Lamotta will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Lamotta throws a front kick that sends Spencer stumbling back into the cage.
The fighters circling - Lamotta throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Spencer takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Spencer is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Lamotta rather than just go for the knockout.

Spencer tries to sprawl but Lamotta drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Lamotta throwing shots but Spencer is blocking nicely.
Lamotta scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Lamotta working over Spencer with some ground and pound. Spencer looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

Lamotta landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Spencer tries to get to full guard but Lamotta has control of the leg.
Lamotta takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Spencer avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Lamotta.

Lamotta wants to pass the guard but Spencer is defending well.
Spencer tries to get to full guard but Lamotta has control of the leg.
Lamotta works his foot free and advances to mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lamotta unloading with bombs!
Lamotta fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!


Spencer is rocked!
Lamotta is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Spencer is still in real trouble! Can Lamotta finish him?
Lamotta unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Spencer wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Lamotta celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jake Lamotta!
